E3002/03/04 ringsted-fehmarn banen,
road & rail bridges.
Banedanmark has planned to establish a railway connection to the future fixed link across the Fehmarn Belt in the period from 2015 to 2021. This project is based on a treaty ratified by Denmark and Germany. The project is divided into 2 lots and includes an extra track along the existing track. The 2 lots are:
Lot 1: E 3002 and E 3004: Rail Bridges Lolland – Falster and Bridges Næstved–Vordingborg (covers in total 19 bridges)
Lot 2: E 3003: Bridges Ringsted-Næstved (covers in total 22 bridges and 11 road/pedestrian bridges and 11 rail bridges)
The project also includes an upgrade of the existing Danish railway line between Ringsted and Holeby. Therefore, it is planned to establish double tracks from Vordingborg to Holeby excluding the Storstrøm Bridge, to electrify the whole line as well as to improve the infrastructure in order to increase speed limits up to 200 km/h.
The three tender packages cover the design and build of works related to bridges and structures as well as road/ pedestrian and rail bridges. The works also comprise several demolitions, the widening of existing bridges, earth- and drainage works, as well as track- and other works like waterproofing, heightening and lengthening of edge beams and concrete repairs.
